Hebron and Flower Mound tied with one touchdown each early, setting the stage for a close game before Hebron began pulling ahead in the second half. Jaguars continued a strong push though the final score ended at 37-27 with Hebron taking the win.
Despite an early setback, Denton Guyer rallied to take the lead in the game against Keller Central. The final score left Guyer with the win at 56-27.
Flower Mound Marcus grabbed an early lead and continued it throughout the game against Plano East. A strong Marauder defense kept Plano East from scoring in the final quarter while offense continued steadily down the field, ending the game with a final score of 31-12.
Argyle dominated the field with a 65-7 win against Wilmer-Hutchins Friday. The game almost ended in a shut-out until late in the game win Wilmer-Hutchins made a touchdown.
Liberty Christian kept the score tight against Bishop Dunne, which pulled out a win at 24-21 against Liberty.

Flower Mound 27, Hebron 37
In a battle of a two teams desperate for a district win in District 6-6A, the Hebron Hawks emerged victorious on the road against Flower Mound, finally grabbing their first overall win of the season.
The Hawks played like a 1960’s football team, running the ball 53 times and passing it only four. They moved the ball effectively with tailback Angelo Garbutt running for an even 200 yards. Flower Mound split up the quarterback duties again, with Logan Davis and Hayden Houser taking the snaps. The Jaguars’ most explosive offensive playmaker Clayton Johnson once again had a strong day, with eight receptions for 147 yards and a long touchdown.
Both teams got off to slow starts, with Hebron going 3-and-out and Flower Mound throwing an interception on their first possessions. Hebron could once again not move the ball, as QB Richard Dodd was stuffed on third down.
Flower Mound’s next drive was a lengthy one, and even included a risky 4th and 2 at their own 32-yard line, which worked out as Clayton Johnson made a catch for the conversion. That was followed up by a 38-yard completion to Chandler Claterbaugh which set up a Logan Davis touchdown run to put the Jags on the board first. Hebron responded quickly, with Garbutt busting for daylight on a 55-yard touchdown run.
Both teams continued to play fantastic defense until Kyler Terry booted a 45-yard field goal to give Hebron their first lead at 10-7. Flower Mound once again bounced back, with a long 13 play drive that ended in another Logan Davis touchdown run to give Flower Mound another advantage in the shootout. After forcing a Hawk punt, the Jaguars elected to run out the clock,settling for a 14-10 halftime lead.
The second half didn’t start well for Flower Mound, as a surprising decision to go for it on 4th down at their own 27 backfired and Hebron took over. The Hawks took advantage, with a short touchdown run by Garbutt to give him his second. A few drives later, Hayden Houser stepped in at quarterback for the Jaguars and delivered immediately, throwing a pass that Berenden Alves caught and ran for 64 yards to put Flower Mound back ahead 21-17.
However, a long kick return coupled with a personal foul put Hebron at Flower Mound’s 10-yard line without even taking an offensive snap. Once again, Garbutt found the end zone to put Hebron up 24-21, and they would not relinquish that lead.
Davis threw an interception on the first play of the next possession and the Hawks capitalized again with yet another Garbutt touchdown run, giving him four on the night. Flower Mound had a chance to get back into the game, but a 25-yard field goal was blocked and Hebron was eventually able to run out the clock. Late in the game, Hebron had another touchdown run by Colton Chapin and Flower Mound had another long touchdown from Houser to Johnson.
Flower Mound faces off against the Allen Eagles on Friday in Plano.

Denton Guyer 56, Keller Central 27
Things did not look good for Guyer early on Friday night, as they actually trailed 13-7 after the end of the first quarter against Keller Central. But in true fashion, they worked their Wildcat magic and rallied to win big over the Chargers by a score of 56-27.
Shawn Robinson scored on a 10-yard run in the first quarter for Guyer, and finished the night with four rushing touchdowns (18, 47, 9) on 123 yards rushing. Anthony Taylor rushed for 218 yards and two
touchdowns in the game for the Wildcats, and Alex Honey and Adam Scott both caught touchdown passes in the game for Guyer.
Guyer improved to 6-1 on the season and 4-0 in district with the victory.
The Wildcats will play Trophy Club Nelson at 7 p.m. on Friday at Northwest ISD Stadium.

Marcus 31, Plano East 12
The Marcus football team remains firmly entrenched in the 6-6A playoff hunt, defeating Plano East 31-12 on Friday night at Murphy’s Kimbrough Stadium.
Marauders kicker Daniel Blaney kicked three field goals (21, 39, and 32 yards) as the Marauders moved to 5-3 on the season and 4-2 in district play.
CJ Respass scored on a two-yard run, and Andrew Parish scored late in the game for the Marauders on a 7-yard run. Jared Mack broke a 62-yard run early in the third quarter for the Marauders. Mack finished the game with 173 yards rushing.
Marcus will host McKinney Boyd at 7:30 p.m. at Marcus on Friday.

Argyle 65, Wilmer Hutchins 7
The Argyle football team improved to 2-0 in district competition on Friday night with a 65-7 romping of Wilmer Hutchins.Argyle quarterback Cooper Rodgers passed for 162 yards and three touchdowns in the game, including passes to Hunter Markwardt (39 yards), and Drew Estrada (11 yards and 18 yards).
Nick Ralston rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns, and Erik Ramon rushed for two touchdowns as well. Shane McKinney returned a blocked punt 18 yards for a touchdown for Argyle, and Dane Ledford connected with J.C. Chalk on a 75-yard touchdown pass. Ryan Schleder also kicked a 31-yard field goal in the game for Argyle.
The Eagles will travel to Dallas’ Kincaide Stadium at 7 p.m. Friday to play the Carter Cowboys.

Liberty Christian 21, Bishop Dunne 24
In spite of trailing Bishop Dunne 14-0 early on, the Liberty Christian football team rallied and almost completed the comeback on Friday night as the Warriors lost by three points to the Dallas school.
Jalen Hurt caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Nick Starkel to cut the Dunne lead in half in the second quarter.
The Liberty defense came up big, as well, as Austin Horton had a 15-yard interception return for a touchdown to tie the game up.
Bishop Dunne kicked a field goal late in the third to regain the lead, but the Warriors defense came through again when Hugh Jeffery returned a fumble 33 yards for a touchdown.
Bishop Dunne scored again to get the victory.
Liberty Christian will host Trinity Christian-Addison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
